Covenant Chambers has recruited Ng Pei Tong as director, which is part of its ongoing strategy to improve its corporate finance and commercial transaction practice.

Lee Ee Yang, Covenant Chambers managing director, told Asia Business Law Journal that Ng’s appointment was a key step in the firm’s expansion of its transactional legal services.

“Over the next few years, we anticipate the rising importance of sustainable financing and new business opportunities with the growth of AI, fintech, Web3 and digital assets. Cross-border deals and transactions in these areas will become increasingly common,” Lee said.

Ng joined the firm after a stint at Drew & Napier, where he served as director of corporate finance. With more than a decade of experience, he has expertise in corporate finance and transactional matters across Singapore and the region. His practice spans listings, equity and debt issues, reverse takeovers, M&A, joint ventures, and private equity and venture capital investments.

He acted for Vermont Tech Solutions Group on its SGD105 million (USD77 million) voluntary general offer for and privatisation of Singapore-listed Shinvest Holding.
