NGUYEN Anh Tuan

Introduction

Nguyen Anh Tuan is one of two founders of Bizconsult Law Firm, and the current managing partner at the firm. He has been practising the business law since 1998, focusing on M&A, real estate, corporate & commercial, FDI projects, IP, franchise, employment & labour matters, fintech, retail service, banking & finance, and capital markets. He has been advising and providing professional services to considerable number of foreign investors, foreign-invested companies, investment funds, finance companies, banks, NGOs, and Vietnamese companies on business setup and their cross-border and inland investment and business transactions in Vietnam. 

Nguyen was awarded “The Commended External Counsel of the Year 2024” by In-House Community in Hong Kong, “The Vietnam’s Top 100 Lawyers 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 A-List” by Asia Business Law Journal, “The Lawyer Who Made Great Contribution to Vietnam Justice Development in 2012-2013” by Vietnam Bar Federation and the Department of Justice of Hanoi; the “Leading Intellectual Property Lawyer in Vietnam” by Asia Law (Hong Kong) in 2011, and many others. In 2006, the M&A deal where he acted as the counsel for Daewoo Corporation to acquire a 1000 worker garment factory in Vietnam was awarded “The M&A Deal of Year in Vietnam” by Asian Counsels. In 2011, his case of cancellation of Pfizer Lab’s trademark registration on the non-use ground in Vietnam was awarded “The Landmark of Trademark Cancellation Case” by Asia IP. 

Nguyen is the author of the Vietnam chapter of the American Bar Association Forum’s International Franchise Sales Law Book, which provides audience with comprehensive guidance on franchise business in Vietnam, which is periodically updated by him and other American law firm in Vietnam. He is also active author of the Vietnam chapter of the Public Mergers & Acquisitions Book published by Law Business Research (Lexology Getting The Deal Through) in London, which is annually updated by him and his colleagues.
