The Association of Corporate Counsel Hong Kong (ACCHK) co-hosted a workshop themed “Accelerating contracting processes” with Radiant Law on 24 September at The China Club. The workshop aimed to address issues in contract handling that can affect company performance and business relationships.
Radiant Law’s managing director, Serena Wallace-Turner, and global head of delivery Ian Teague shared their knowledge on refining contracting practices within large organisations.
Other key topics discussed at the session included recognising what makes a contract both effective and practical, and how legal roles can contribute to building solid relationships with clients and suppliers. The speakers also suggested strategies for promoting discussions about contract improvements even if there is not a dedicated owner for the process.
The workshop specifically catered to helping enterprises finalise agreements quickly while avoiding costly and slow practices that could discourage potential business partners.
