Dino Vivencio A TAMAYO

Introduction

Dino Vivencio A Tamayo has been in practice for more than thirty years. He joined Poblador Bautista and Reyes (PBR) when it was founded in 1994 and is now senior partner. He handles civil, commercial, administrative and criminal (both prosecution and defence) litigation, arbitration and ADR, construction and real estate, IP, energy and public utilities, and TMT.

He services PBR’s major clients and is on the teams for many of the firm’s largest cases, including international arbitrations. His work has led to multiple citations over the years, including being named as a recommended lawyer by Asia Law Profiles for construction litigation, and by Legal 500 (Asia Pacific) for dispute resolution, real estate and construction, IP and TMT. He has been named by Asia IP Experts for trademarks, media and entertainment, and IT and telecoms. He is rated by Benchmark Litigation for commercial and transactions, and was named Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year for the Philippines by Asian Legal Business (Thompson Reuters) in 2021.

He obtained his bachelor of arts in economics from the University of the Philippines in 1984 and his bachelor of laws (second honours) from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1989. He passed the bar in 1990, and first worked as a litigation associate at another major firm prior to joining PBR.

He has been on the board of the Intellectual Property Association of the Philippines since 2011.
