Introduction
A senior partner with three decades of legal experience, Alden Francis C Gonzales is head of DivinaLaw’s litigation and labor practice groups.
In 1986, he worked at SGV & Co (EY Philippines) as an auditor, later returning in 1991 to practice law in the tax division of the firm. Since then, he has represented many clients from various sectors of society before all levels of the Philippine court system. Armed with extensive knowledge on legal practice and strengthened by his background as a certified public accountant, Gonzales proves to be a distinct and versatile name in the field.
Gonzales has also extended his knowledge on law to the academe for nearly as long as he has practiced, working as a professor of civil law in his alma mater, the University of Santo Tomas where he graduated magna cum laude. He has also been a bar reviewer at the university from 2007 to the present.
He has consistently been named among the Top 100 Lawyers in the Philippines by the Asia Business Law Journal since 2018.
He is a co-author of the Compendious Bar Reviewer on Civil Law (CentralBooks, 2023, 2024) and the Compendious Bar Reviewer on Labour Law (CentralBooks, 2023, 2024).
