Trust Legal has for the first time partnered with Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) and the United Nations Environment Programme to host the 21st Annual Colloquium of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law in India.
S Shanthakumar, the director of GNLU, led the event on 4-7 July 2024, featuring international experts from more than 20 countries discussing efforts towards sustainability.
The “Mission LiFE: Ensuring Environmental Sustainability & Climate Justice through Community Action” theme of the event focused on individual and collective efforts towards sustainability.
Speakers included Christina Voigt, chair of the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law, Tiina Paloniitty, chair of the governing board of the IUCN Academy of Environmental law, and Sudhir Mishra, managing partner of Trust Legal.
