Precept Law Offices has merged with full-service law firm HSA Advocates, and its lawyers Manish Singh, Ritesh Singh, Gaurav Mahajan and Nitin Tyagi are joining as partners in the Delhi office.
This is the second significant merger after Shashank Singh, the founder of Shashank Singh Associates, joined HSA Advocates in July.
The latest merger will see HSA Advocates strengthen its practices across dispute resolution, international trade and customs, aviation, energy and infrastructure, taxation, and technology and data privacy law.
Manish Singh has 18 years of experience advising on energy and infrastructure, land due diligence, project finance and general corporate and commercial matters. Ritesh Singh has 18 years of experience advising promoters, multinational corporations and financial institutions on high-stakes disputes and regulatory investigations.
Mahajan has 20 years of experience in arbitration, dispute resolution and white-collar crime and enforcement matters. Tyagi has 20 years of experience advising multinational enterprises and Indian corporations on tax matters.
In the July merger, Shashank Singh Associates brought an established direct tax, white-collar crime and general corporate practice to HSA. Shashank Singh has more than 16 years of experience and has been advising on tax structuring for domestic and cross-border transactions, infrastructure project financing, and general corporate matters.
As part of the merger, SK Singh joins HSA as a special adviser. He was previously principal chief commissioner of income tax (international taxation) in Delhi at the Indian Revenue Service and had worked there for 36 years. SK Singh has extensive experience in direct taxation, international taxation, transfer pricing and financial crimes matters.
Principal associates Arjun Minocha and Sourav Vig are also joining HSA. Minocha has 13 years of experience in civil, commercial and criminal litigation, while Vig has more than 10 years of corporate and commercial law expertise.
In March, Pranav Kumar Singh rejoined HSA as a partner in the firm’s corporate and infrastructure practice after working as a general counsel at AM Green Group and RenewPower. Singh has 22 years of experience advising on large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.
