William Chun Fai Woo has joined Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe’s capital markets team as a partner, to be based in Hong Kong. Woo focuses on representing issuers and underwriters in relation to regulatory and corporate matters involving Hong Kong listed companies.
He received his MA and LLB from Cambridge University, where he received several awards for outstanding academic achievement, and his PCLL from the University of Hong Kong with distinction. He is admitted to practice law in England and Wales and in Hong Kong.

Orrick claims currently to be the most active law firm in advising on initial public offerings on the Hong Kong stock exchange, and the leader in company-side legal representation. From January 2010 to March this year, Orrick advised on 14 IPOs, including nine as company counsel and five as counsel to the underwriters.
