Introduction
Jatin Trivedi is a seasoned lawyer with more than two decades of experience in intellectual property rights law. His greatest strengths are his “ahead of the curve mindset” and ability to analyse, distill and argue complex issues in a simple, understandable way.
Jatin maintains a stellar reputation across the Bar and is known for his lateral thinking advisory skills. He has been serving as a legal adviser and consultant to MNCs and overseas clients, and has a wealth of experience both in contentious and non-contentious IP matters. With his bespoke counselling on all aspects of the client’s business linked to economic exploitation of their IP and escalating their corporate valuation, he has had a profound influence.
Over the years, he has held prime positions with chamber bodies and IP associations at national (including the FICCI, CII, TiE and GCCI) and international levels (INTA, APAA and AIPLA), and has been actively participating in international conferences, where he has gained expertise par excellence with some of the doyens of the corporate and IP world.
This exposure has led him to develop a global perspective on industry issues, thereby mustering him up to turn the tables for his clients during their key mergers, asset purchases and product launches. Through his careful analysis and translation of legal and commercial issues, he has instilled confidence in his clients to expect a seamless experience on the merits of taking any entrepreneurial decision in a trusted manner.
He had the privilege to work for WIPO (a major IP body formed by the UN) as its regional consultant and assist its member countries in their accession process to MADRID.
He keeps his interest in academics going by taking the time to deliver lectures at revered forums. Taking that further, he has been heading a separate vertical, running successfully the IPPO Foundation, which is a non-profit company established with an aim to provide training and awareness on IPR. He has also penned the book – This Handbook will Change the Face of Your Start-up – a comprehensive handbook that provides business entrants of the 21st century with all they need to know about IPR.
