Introduction

Jatin Aneja is a senior equity partner and is part of the management board of the firm, and the national practice head of projects and project finance practice. Jatin has extensive experience in projects, infrastructure, project finance and investment across infrastructure sectors including airports, roads, ports, oil and gas, energy (conventional and renewable), power and other urban infrastructure in India.

Jatin has been involved in advising various Indian as well as multinational companies on commercial law aspects including drafting, structuring and negotiating various investment agreements, joint venture agreements, business purchase agreements, financing agreements, concession agreements, offtake agreements, tolling agreements, EPC contracts, consortium agreements, and other related legal advisory work.

Jatin has led several precedent setting and high-value transactions that have hugely impacted the projects and infrastructure landscape of India.

Some of his most prominent transactions include drafting the concession agreement for Delhi and Mumbai airports and undertaking the privatisation of the two airports; Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India pipeline project; Indian Oil’s LNG procurement from the United States; Petronet LNG and other PSUs; LNG procurement from Qatar; private container train concession for Indian Railways; Delhi and Mumbai airport city side development project(s). Recently, he advised GMR Infrastructure Ltd in relation to the divestment of a major shareholding (USD1.5 billion) in GMR Airports Ltd, GMR’s holding company for multiple airports globally.
