Manas Kumar Chaudhuri, an antitrust litigator, advises Indian and overseas clients on competition law and policy and related legal, regulatory and merger control issues.
Prior to joining the profession as a full-time lawyer, Manas has served as a civil judge in the West Bengal State Judicial Services and in professional senior legal positions, both in the old and new competition agencies of India. He is ranked a Band 1 Competition Lawyer of India by Chambers and Partners, Asialaw and Legal 500. In addition to participating in national and international speaking assignments, he was a panel speaker at the 17th ICN Conference held in New Delhi in March 2018, and at the VI–BRICS Competition Law Conference held in Moscow in September 2019 as an Indian NGA.
Manas also argues regularly on behalf of clients before the CCI, Appeal Tribunal, and occasionally the higher courts.
