Nguyen Anh Tuan is one of the founding partners of Bizconsult Law Firm, a reputable law firm in Vietnam, where he is the elected chairman of the firm. He has been practising business law since 1998, focusing on M&A, real estate, corporate and commercial, FDI projects, IP and franchise, employment, fintech, retail business, banking and finance, and dispute resolutions. He has been advising a considerable number of foreign investors, foreign-invested companies, investment funds, NGOs, and Vietnamese enterprises in various business sectors.
Tuan was awarded “the Lawyer who Made Great Contribution to Vietnam Justice Development” by the Vietnam Bar Federation and the Department of Justice of Hanoi in 2012 and 2013, the “Leading Intellectual Property Lawyer in Vietnam” by Asia Law (Hong Kong) in 2011. He acted a counsel for Daewoo International to acquire a large-scaled garment factory in Vietnam, which was then awarded “The M&A Deal of Year in Vietnam” by Asian Counsel (Hong Kong) in 2006. He has another case of cancellation of Pfizer’s trademark for non-use in Vietnam, which was then awarded “The Landmark of Trademark Cancellation Case in Vietnam” by Asia IP (Hong Kong) in 2011.
Tuan is one of the active co-authors of the Vietnam Chapter of the American Bar Association Forum’s International Franchise Sales Law Book, which provides the audience with comprehensive guidance on franchise business in Vietnam, which he and other co-authors periodically update. He is also an active contributor to the Vietnam Chapter of the Public Mergers & Acquisitions Book published by Law Business Research (Lexology Getting The Deal Through) in London, which is annually updated by him and his colleagues.
