Introduction

His highlighted transactions include advising Siam Cement Group in acquiring CSC and VCM in cement industry valued at USD440 million and Prime Group valued at USD240 million; advising Energy Sources Investment in its USD800M acquisition of 100% stake in GA Power, the sole investor of two solar power projects Ha Tinh; advising J-Power in acquiring and later divesting from Nhon Trach 2 Power Plant; advising SCG Packaging in its USD1.27B combination of the Reg S Rule 144A international offering of shares to investors outside US and Thailand and domestic offering to investors in Thailand; advising Foxconn in its IPO and listing in HKEX valued at USD350 million and Japfa in its IPO and listing in SGX valued at SGD160 million.

In infrastructure and energy, Anh’s remarkable deals include Vinh Tan 1 BOT project (IFLR and ALB’s Project Finance Deal of the Year 2016), Phu My 3 BOT project, Kien Luong 1 BOO project, Ngoi Phat Hydropower Plant, Ban Phuc nickel mining financing and other renewable projects developed by GE, J-Power, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Tokyo Gas, Nexif Energy, Shizen Energy, Trina Solar, etc.

Anh has been awarded by IFLR1000 as a leading lawyer for financial and corporate and for energy and infrastructure since 2014. AsiaLaw regarded him as a leading lawyer for Corporate/M&A from 2014, a market-leading lawyer in 2018 and an elite practitioner in Corporate/M&A since 2019. Recently, Asia Business Law Journal has listed him in the A-List of Vietnam’s top 100 lawyers in 2021 and 2022.
