Ma Jie

Introduction

Ma Jie has devoted decades to the field of dispute resolution, with practice spanning complex civil and commercial matters including financial products and trusts, real estate and construction, and corporate governance. He has handled hundreds of major litigation and arbitration cases involving amounts exceeding several billions of renminbi. Ma has particularly extensive experience in guarantee disputes involving listed and NEEQ-listed companies, and has helped clients recover substantial losses. His professional efficiency and pragmatic, reliable style have earned wide client recognition.

Ma has been repeatedly listed in China Business Law Journal, ALB, The Legal 500, and LexisNexis rankings. He was selected for the inaugural Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific “Top 40 Under 40”, one of only two awardees from the Chinese mainland, and has received honours such as “Outstanding Young Lawyer of Chengdu” and “Specialised Lawyer of Sichuan Province”. He is also committed to public service and currently serves as an expert in the Sichuan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs advisory database; Deputy Director of the Civil and Commercial Law Committee of the Sichuan Lawyers Association; and a council member of the Business Law Society of the Sichuan Law Society.
